About Le Joueur: A Family Passion for Play

About Le Joueur
Le Joueur is Lebanon’s trusted destination for board games, wooden games, card game accessories, puzzles, and mind-challenging entertainment. From chess and backgammon to bridge, poker, riddles, and strategy games, we are dedicated to celebrating the timeless joy of play — whether for family gatherings, personal collections, or unforgettable gifts.

A Legacy Since 1946
Our story began in 1946, when three brothers — Michel, Joseph, and Georges Fayad — founded Fayad Frères in Beirut. Originally an import-export company with a focus on textiles, the family’s passion for games slowly took root. In the early years, Fayad Frères proudly introduced Lebanon to some of the world’s most iconic games, including the original wooden-box edition of Monopoly.

In 1996, under the direction of Joyce Fayad, the company embraced its true calling and officially launched Le Joueur, a name that would soon become synonymous with quality games, tradition, and elegance.

A New Generation, Same Passion
In 2018, the torch passed to a new generation as Joe Fayad, grandson of Joseph, infused the brand with renewed energy — expanding into modern selections, custom-made collections, and now, a full online shopping experience. While evolving with time, our commitment to authenticity, craftsmanship, and human connection remains unchanged.

Our Philosophy
At Le Joueur, we believe games are more than products — they are bridges between generations. Our mission goes beyond selling; we listen, guide, teach, and share. Whether in our Achrafieh store or now online, we invite every visitor to explore, test, and rediscover the joy of playing.

A Gift Beyond the Ordinary
Each item we offer is carefully chosen not only for its quality, but for the stories it carries. A game from Le Joueur is not just a purchase — it is a gift of memory, strategy, laughter, and tradition.

Today & Tomorrow
From our family to yours, Le Joueur continues to grow, now reaching homes across Lebanon through our online platform. Decades may pass, but our purpose remains the same:
To keep the spirit of play alive.
